🌰🍂 FALL FORAGING There’s a LOT of free food dropping from trees this time of year—and not just for the squirrels.
Our next Homestead Anywhere class is focused heavily on
NUTS: finding them, identifying them, gathering them, processing them and figuring out what in the world to do with them once you get them home.
We’ll even tackle ACORNS and show you how they can be processed into dry snacks and flour.
🐓🐐 And we’re bringing the livestock into this one, too!
We’ll discuss ways that foraged materials can be used to supplement livestock feed, along with what you need to know before tossing something you gathered into the chicken coop, goat pen, pig lot, etc.
This class is about looking at the land around you a little differently. You don't have to own 100 acres to learn how to make use of what nature provides—that's the whole idea behind our Homestead Anywhere Series.
🌰 Thursday, October 8 @ 6 PM
🌰 $20 per person
🌰 ONLY 15 SPOTS
🌰 Take home a bucket + filter for acorn collecting/processing
