Join us for a festival of inspiration, prayer, scripture, music, service and worship. Our speaker/musicians are Pastor Mike & Sue Blair from Waverly, IA. They have been sharing their creative gifts in music, teaching, ministry and building community throughout their life together. They met at Rockford’s Jefferson High back in the day and recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Their shared calling of singing and storytelling has been shaped by many mentors in the arts of faith, prayer and music. Journeys of adversity have deepened their faith. This includes both of them being cancer survivors and the untimely loss of their beloved son, Ben, who died by suicide in 2020. Mike and Sue’s songs, stories and wisdom weave themes of joy, lament, laughter and hope as they trust the promise of Psalm 126, "Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.” Their beloved daughter, Kate, lives in Rockford. Mike and Sue live with their faithful canine companion, Sally the Border Collie! A sample of their music can be found online at:
