Autumn is here, it is THAT time of year, the leaves are changing color, the nights are getting chillier, the time is upon us. Get ready for GZ's semi annual OPEN HOUSE seminar, get in here for the fun.All sizes & skill levels are welcome, this event is for EVERYONE. It will be a great time with a whole bunch of BJJ black belts on these mats.
If you train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (any gym, any team, any lineage, any affiliation or even any other martial art), if you used to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, if you dream of training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, if you are curious about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or if you just need something fun to do on a Saturday, come on down.
Absolutely everyone is welcome, any age, any size, any shape, any art, come on down for the fun.
Anyone that is interested is welcome, so invite all of your friends, neighbors and acquaintances, other schools too. Let's get these mats JAM PACKED !! We have had over 100 people a couple of times before, Let's do it again. Come on in and see your BJJ friends.
This will be a fantastic learning experience, as well as a great chance to catch up with your mat buddies and make new friends (and choke them).
It will surely be a fun time for all. If you haven't been on the mats in a while, no worries. If you are a noobie who is still figuring things out, EVEN BETTER, this is a great chance to learn from a WHOLE LOT of experts.
This seminar will bring in a tremendous amount of talent & experience, LOTS of advanced grapplers with exceptionally well rounded yet diverse games. Here is your chance to use these folks as a resource, ask plenty of questions, LEARN exceptional technique, have fun.
THE GIST OF IT: Staying in line with our goal to increase learning and training opportunities for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners from around the region, to encourage bonding & camaraderie in the BJJ community and most importantly, to have FUN, Team Ground Zero (Huntington, WV) is happy to announce that on SATURDAY, November 8th, the funkiest & funnest BJJ seminar ever held in WV will take place in Huntington,....and it is 100% FREE!!!
That is right, FREE...as in ZERO COST...to EVERYONE !!!!
No prior experience, special skills or equipment needed, just a little curiosity. No specific attire is required, but if you have a Gi / Kimono, please wear it.
WHO & WHAT: Professors Ashley Lockwood & Tim Dunlap will be leading this seminar, along with the usual crew of wonderful GZ alumni black belts.
Team Ground Zero (Huntington) is one of the longest established & most decorated BJJ School in WV (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2024 & 2026 WV Games Team Champions, we are doing something right on this big green mat).
Ground Zero Huntington has produced over a dozen BJJ Black Belts & countless other highly competitive students, (many of which compete on the national & international level), multiple Team Championships, as well as several of their students going on to make it to the highest level of MMA, including UFC, Bellator, Gracie Fighting Challenge, IFL, King of the Cage, PFL, Hook'n'Shoot, and many others!
