Potter Park Zoo is hosting a Sensory Friendly FALCONERS event on October 16, 2026, as part of the annual Boo at the Zoo celebration!
FALCONERS is designed to provide children and adults of all ages with special needs and unique challenges, including autism and developmental disabilities, and their families with an enriching educational experience in a safe, welcoming, and sensory-friendly environment.
🕔 Event Details
Date: October 16, 2026
Arrival: Anytime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Event activities end: 7:30 PM
Please note:
- Doors will not open before 5:00 PM.
- Families may arrive anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
- Activities will not be offered after 7:30 PM. Families need to be exiting the zoo.
- We strongly recommend arriving before 7:00 PM, as it becomes very dark after that time.
- The hayride ends at 7:00 PM due to darkness.
🎃 Boo at the Zoo Activities
Put on your favorite costume and enjoy a sensory-friendly version of Boo at the Zoo!
Families can enjoy Boo at the Zoo–themed activities similar to those offered during the zoo's regular weekend events. Activities will be less animal-focused and will include a variety of fun experiences for the whole family.
There will also be:
- 🍎 Cider
- 🍩 Donuts, including gluten-free options
- 🍬 Candy and non-candy treats at select stations
- 🎃 Boo at the Zoo–themed activities
- 🚜 Hayrides until 7:00 PM
Specific event details and additional information will be sent to registered families the day before the event.
