📢 FONTOS FRISSÍTÉS: EGY ÉVVEL ELHALASZTJUK A RENDEZVÉNYT! 🕯️
A társadalmi közöny sajnos ma is kézzelfogható. Ahogy a Szabad Európa alábbi, emlékezetes kisfilmje is mutatja – amelynek üzenete sajnos ma is fájdalmasan aktuális: 👉 „Most is kézzelfogható a társadalmi közöny” – nyolcvan éve történt a roma holokauszt

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: The event has been postponed by one year! 🕯️
Dear Friends and Participants,
We are writing to inform you of an important decision: the new date for the Puczi Béla Memorial Walk and associated programme has been set as Sunday, 29 August 2027.
As we plan the event, it has become clearer than ever that this movement is growing far beyond a single walk. The seeds of a deep, long-term educational and social project are taking root before our eyes, evolving from the 'Walls/Windows from Words' initiative into the 'My School Remembers Porajmos' programme. In order to develop and deliver this programme with the depth, preparation and impact it deserves, we have decided to dedicate the coming year to its thorough development. During this time, we will be working hard to develop the stations of the memorial walk, their content, and the details of the educational programme, with the aim of providing a truly meaningful experience.
Many of you have asked us over the past few days: Why aren't Romani people doing this for themselves? Our answer is simple and firm: The dignified remembrance and commemoration of the Roma Holocaust, and inclusion, cannot be the sole responsibility of the Romani community. This must also come from majority society. When the majority stays silent, it becomes complicit. When the majority speaks out, however, it paves the way for our collective healing and the defence of our democracy.
Unfortunately, social apathy is still palpable today. The short film below, made by Szabad Europa, illustrates this point and its message remains painfully relevant: "Social apathy is palpable even now" – 80 years since the Roma Holocaust.

We cannot turn our gaze away. We can no longer wait for others to speak up on our behalf. On 29 August 2027 at 17:00, we will set off from Nyugati Railway Station towards Kossuth Square. Our aim is to remember and start building a future where the dark spots of the past are undone.
Join us, because everything beautiful and true begins with words spoken aloud! 💜🖤💛🤎
