Fairways Fall Fest 5k Fun Run
Get ready to lace up your sneakers for the inaugural Fairways Fall Fest 5k Fun Run! Participants will enjoy running on the golf course while soaking in the crisp autumn air & views while having a blast with friends and family. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just want a fun way to soak up the fall vibes, this run is perfect for everyone. Come out, take in the colorful leaves, and make some great memories!
Location: Fairways of Halfmoon Public Golf Course, 17 Johnson Road, Mechanicville, NY 12118.
Check In Begins: 7am
Race Begins: 8am
Entry Fee: $30 Per Person
Race Prizes: Overall Top 3 Male & Female Runners will receive an award.
T-Shirts: The first 100 paid participants will receive commemorative t-shirts
Refreshments: Complimentary light refreshments will be available at the end of the event.

LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT, YOU ARE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Fairways Fall Fest 5k Fun Run (the "Event") on October 17, 2026, hosted by The Fairways of Halfmoon, Fairways of Halfmoon Staff & Owners (the "Organizer"), I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Assumption of Risk. I know and understand that running or walking a 5K race is a strenuous and potentially hazardous activity. I voluntarily assume full and complete responsibility for all risks associated with participating in this Event. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- Physical injury: Falls, cuts, broken bones, muscle strains, contact with other participants, and heat- or cold-related illnesses.
- Environmental conditions: Unpredictable weather (e.g., rain, snow, heat, or humidity), traffic, wild animals, and hazardous road or trail conditions.
- Medical issues: Dehydration, exhaustion, cardiac arrest, or the worsening of pre-existing health conditions.
2. Medical Fitness and Training. I attest and verify that I am medically able, physically fit, and sufficiently trained to safely complete this Event. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run or walk.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability. I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, or anyone entitled to act on my behalf, hereby knowingly and voluntarily waive, release, and forever discharge the Organizer, Staff & Ownership, all race sponsors, volunteers, staff, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands of any kind arising out of my participation in this Event. This includes claims caused by the negligence or carelessness of the released parties.
4. Emergency Medical Treatment. I hereby authorize and consent to receive any medical treatment deemed advisable by event staff or medical personnel in the event of injury, accident, or illness during the Event. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result.
5. Photo and Media Release. I grant full permission to the Organizer and its authorized representatives to use my name, voice, photographs, videotapes, or any other record of this Event for marketing, promotional, or any other legitimate purposes without compensation to me.
6. Severability. I agree that if any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of law, the remaining portions of the waiver shall continue in full force and effect.
BY SIGNING UP FOR THE EVENT, I CERTIFY THAT I AM AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE OR THIS AGREEMENT IS AGREED TO BY MY PARENT, NATURAL GUARDIAN OR LEGAL GUARDIAN, HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS WAIVER IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO ITS TERMS.
