About this Event
Class Description
Prerequisite: Jewelry 101 or equivalent experience; please email [email protected] if unsure if this class is for you.
Bring your jewelry-making to the next level and learn the art of setting faceted gemstones! In just one workshop, you will learn foundational stone setting skills to set faceted gemstones in classic 4-prong heads.
In order to focus solely on technique, we will set gemstones into sterling silver prongs soldered to copper sheet, rather than in finished pieces of jewelry. This will allow you to learn the fundamentals of faceted gemstone setting, after which you can use these skills in your own designs in the future.
The materials fee for this class is $45. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts Cash Only.
