Frankfurt has an incredible number of talented female DJs, artists and collectives shaping the city’s music scene. Yet unequal access to bookings and visibility remains one of the biggest issues in the music industry.With this exhibition, we want to highlight the potential that already exists in Frankfurt and the women who are part of it.
The show brings together photographs of over 15 female DJs rocking the Frankfurt DJ scene, taken by young female photographers across different locations. From portraits to moments behind the decks, most of the images were created exclusively for the exhibition.
During opening hours, everyone is invited to get behind the decks themselves. Professional DJ equipment and a PA system will be available at the space.
The exhibition will only run for eight days, so we’d love to see you already on 1 November, with a live performance by @juliekuhl around 7 PM.
