Project Proposal: "Faces of Forgiveness" Community MonumentA Public Art Installation Inspired by Angel Murrill’s Original ArtworkExecutive SummaryThe "Faces of Forgiveness" Monument is a planned life-sized public art installation based on Angel Murrill’s powerful depiction of the Last Supper. Designed as an interactive community monument, this piece serves as a visual ministry and a permanent space for reflection, prayer, and community unity. To honor the sacred season of Resurrection Month, the project is targeted for completion and unveiling in April 2027.All financial contributions will directly fund the materials, construction, and successful completion of this monument.Design & Interactive FeaturesThis monument bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern utility, ensuring it remains an inspiring landmark day and night: • Handcrafted Artistry: The entire piece will be meticulously hand-carved, 6x8ft constructed, and painted in a striking gold finish, matching the aesthetic of the original artwork. • The Light of Christ: Replicating the unique spiral tubing around the figure of Jesus from the original piece, this version will feature solar-powered LED lighting. This ensures the monument glows vividly at night, standing as a constant public reminder of Jesus’s light in the world. • The Mirrors of Reflection: In place of the disciples' faces, actual framed mirrors will be integrated into the structure. This interactive design invites community members to literally see themselves within the story of grace and forgiveness.
• Community Engagement Space: A durable metal bench will be installed in front of the monument, creating a dedicated space for visitors to sit, contemplate, and pray. • Interpretive Signage: An educational panel stand will accompany the monument to explain the theological meaning of the artwork and guide visitors through its message.Timeline & PurposeThis project is born out of a profound spiritual calling to serve the Kingdom of God. Launching this monument in April carries deep significance: it aligns with Resurrection Month and the artist's birthday. It is designed to be a lasting gift to the public—bringing people closer to Christ and to one another. How You Can HelpTo bring this vision to life, we are seeking financial partners, local artisans, and community advocates who share this calling. Your generosity will directly fund the specialized materials, solar technology, and structural engineering required to make this public monument a reality.
