FACEDOWN: THE FORT WAYNE ENCOUNTER WEEKENDOctober 9–11, 2026 | Fort Wayne, Indiana
I am pleased to announce that in just two weeks, I will return to my hometown of
Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a very special weekend surrounding the launch of my newest devotional, FACEDOWN: Prayer Encounters — Intimacy with God.
This project is deeply personal to me. FACEDOWN was born from more than 30 years of pursuing God through prayer and learning the value of surrender, listening, reflection, and responding to His voice. What began as a personal spiritual practice has become a 21-day devotional journey designed to help others develop greater intentionality in their own relationship with God.
Whether you are new to the Christian faith, seeking to establish a consistent prayer life, longing to reconnect with God, or simply hungry for greater intimacy with Him, this devotional was created with you in mind.
On Saturday, October 10, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM, I will host the official FACEDOWN Book Launch at the Mastodon Alumni Center, 1528 E. California Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
This will be more than a traditional book signing. I will share some of the experiences and spiritual principles that gave birth to FACEDOWN, offer a brief teaching, answer questions, and spend time meeting guests and signing books.
We will also introduce pieces from the Facedown Encounter Collection what I affectionately call “Love Reminders.” These are prayer-focused items created to help you establish an intentional place in your home for prayer, Scripture, journaling, reflection, and quiet time with God. The items are not the encounter; they are simply reminders to make room for the One we desire to encounter.
My hope is that people leave with more than a signed book. I hope they leave encouraged to cultivate a life that is increasingly attentive and surrendered to God.
As Scripture invites us:
“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.” Psalm 95:6
The weekend will begin Friday evening with the ONV Podcast, continue with Saturday's FACEDOWN Book Launch, and conclude Sunday morning as I have the privilege of serving as guest speaker at New Grace Church (New Life McKee Street).
For me, returning to Fort Wayne makes this launch particularly meaningful. It is an opportunity to celebrate what God has done, reconnect with people who have been part of my journey, and share something I believe can help others deepen theirs.
If you are hungry for more of God, there is a place for you.
If you are beginning your journey, there is a place for you.
If your spiritual life needs to be refreshed, there is a place for you.
And if you are walking closely with God but know there is still more to discover, there is a place for you too.
