Come make a splash with Fishburgh at Lake Carnegie in Highland Park!This family-friendly fishing event is perfect for beginners, young anglers, and anyone who wants to learn the basics in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Participants will learn how to cast, bait a hook, identify fish, handle fish safely, and care for the local waterways that make Pittsburgh such a special place to explore. All you need to bring is a good attitude, some patience, and the courage to believe the next cast could be the big one.
Instruction will be led by Phillip Papa, founder of Fishburgh Outdoors, a certified Fishing Skills Instructor through the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission.
No Fishing License is needed for registered participants during this event
We will provide fishing gear and bait
Please obtain a ticket for each participant so we can plan for equipment, supplies, and volunteers.
