Join us for a 3-day gathering of Métis scholars and community members to explore being a good relative!The gathering is an opportunity to hear from leading Métis scholars and community members around the topic of wahkotowin, or “being a good relative.” Over three days, we will explore wâhkôhtowin in practice and hear from Métis thinkers about how they actualize these principles in their everyday lives both in and out of the institution.
We will have a series of panels and keynotes featuring graduate students and scholars, social events, performances, and opportunities to meet and visit. And of course, we will feed you - breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided each day, and a welcoming dinner on Day 1. There will be an opportunity to participate in research as part of this event and more information will be provided in the coming days.
