About this Event
Bargello is a needlepoint technique that has been used across centuries. As far back at the 16th century these patterns have been used for furniture, bags, purses, wallets, slippers and a variety of other items. The wool and canvas items made with Bargello are remarkably long lasting. The patterns have been adapted to be used with other embroidery materials and have even been made into quilt patterns.
Part of the beauty of Bargello is that even one pattern has almost infinite variations according to what colors you choose and how you arrange them. And the repetition in the patterns makes it a very relaxing practice.
There are a lot of preparatory steps to setting up a canvas to do traditional wool and canvas Bargello. We are going to work on plastic canvas so we can focus on the patterns anc colors.
Limited to eight (8) participants. All materials provided. $45 per person
