Families can enjoy a lineup of seasonal activities and entertainment at Time Out Market Union Square (124 East 14th Street), with several family-friendly events bringing music, creativity and Halloween fun to the Market this October. From Monday, October 26th, through Thursday, October 29th, from 11 AM to noon, Little Pumpkins, Big Ideas: A Baby Boo Pumpkin Painting Party invites young artists to decorate their own mini white pumpkins with provided paints and supplies, creating a festive Halloween keepsake to take home. Tickets are $15 per child, and each accompanying adult receives a complimentary cup of drip coffee. On select mornings, families can also catch Ramblin’ Dan Free Children’s Concert presented in partnership with Macaroni KID Lower Manhattan, featuring the beloved children’s musician in an interactive, 45-minute musical adventure filled with singing, dancing, bubbles and organic temporary tattoos. Designed especially for infants, toddlers and young children, the performance encourages little ones to clap, stomp, imagine themselves as animals and even blast off into outer space. Doors open 10:15am and show begin 10:30am.The Market also hosts Puppetsburg: Children’s Puppet Show every Saturday at 10 AM, with doors opening at 9:30 AM. The 45-minute interactive performance combines puppetry, storytelling, live music, instruments, dancing and bubbles while introducing young children to early-learning concepts such as counting, vocabulary and everyday habits. On Saturday, October 31, families can catch a special Not-So-Spooky Halloween Puppet Show for a festive seasonal twist. Both the Ramblin’ Dan and Puppetsburg events include complimentary drip coffee for accompanying adults, courtesy of Café D’Avignon, and families can make a morning of it with breakfast and other food and drinks available for purchase from the Market’s vendors.
