M2D2’s new Experts-in-Residence (EIR) Program brings seasoned industry professionals directly to our Lowell space to meet with startups. These drop-in sessions give founders practical guidance on everything from regulatory strategy and IP to fundraising, accounting, prototyping, and go-to-market planning. Sessions are held in-person on the third floor at 110 Canal

Ilsa Webeck brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical technology industry, working with global companies, growing organizations, and startups to identify market opportunities and turn new technologies into viable commercial strategies.
Currently, Ilsa leads commercialization efforts at Simbex, a design, development, and commercialization firm, where she supports clients across product development, market intelligence, regulatory strategy, reimbursement, and quality. She previously founded MedTech Strategies and has held roles spanning strategic planning, product management, portfolio strategy, and early product strategy at Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Spine, Biogen, and Health Advances.
Ilsa is also an experienced mentor, lecturer, and speaker who has worked with organizations including Harvard University, Dartmouth College, M2D2 at UMass Lowell, and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center.
