Expert 121 with Nick Tompkin - Worthing Library


Book a free 40 minute in-person session, choose from a selection of dates and times to suit you. Once you've registered, we'll pass on your details (name and email address) to Nick, who might contact you with some questions regarding your meeting.

Some area’s Nick can discuss with you include:

• Business Formation and Structure

• Business succession planning

• Business finance

• Articles of Association and shareholder agreements

• Contracts and how to best avoid risks

Expert biography

Nick Tompkin is a Partner Solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial Team at Bennett Griffin LLP. Having qualified in 2005 and initially specialised in Commercial Property transactions alongside corporate transactions and business advice, in 2012 Nick decided to specialise purely in Corporate and Commercial work. Nick has spent all but three years of his career working in Worthing.

Nick advises businesses of all sizes, from newly created start ups to PLC level on a wide variety of non-contentious work. Nick does a lot of merger and acquisitions work alongside other business sales and purchases, and also advises on all aspects of contract negotiation, drafting and interpretation including on company documents such as articles of association and shareholders agreements. Nick’s day to day work is very diverse and often complicated, but Nick strives to make even the most complex matters as clear and understandable as possible for his clients.

Following the session, the expert will send you a feedback form which we would be grateful if you could complete to allow us to monitor the success of our offered expert 121s.

All our expert one-to-one meetings on offer are free, but places are limited as our business expert partners are giving their valuable time to the BIPC and to you for free while fitting these sessions into their busy schedule. Therefore, if you need to cancel the session, to give a chance for others to still book it, please give at least two working days’ notice when possible via:

What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing [email protected].

Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library, as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
