Join Fermynwoods Contemporary Art and painter Geoff Diego Litherland for a practical and experimental workshop at East Carlton Country Park.
Using cotton tote bags and vibrant acrylic inks, participants will adapt traditional tie-dye techniques to create layered, painterly patterns through folding, binding, staining, dripping and colour mixing.
The workshop will explore ideas of process, chance and material behaviour. You’ll be encouraged to work intuitively, experiment freely and allow the movement of ink through the fabric to influence the final artwork.
Each participant will create a unique painted tote bag shaped by colour, movement and chance.
