EXPERIMENTAL EYFS STEM Autumn Term 2026
(21st September, 19th October & 16th November)
Each session will involve activities that promote the scientific method through practical experiments.

21st September: Stay Afloat!
Explores the principles of buoyancy, density, and structural design. Participants are challenged to design and construct a small boat using limited materials that can float on water while safely carrying an “egg passenger".
19th October: Red Cabbage Rainbow
This vibrant, hands-on activity encourages learners to explore the science of chemistry by investigating acids, bases, and pH levels using a natural indicator made from red cabbage.
16th November : Crafty Chemistry
Using simple materials, to create beautiful branching dendrite structures, learning how science can produce intricate, natural designs while combining creativity with hands-on experimentation.
