Explore how generative AI can be used to design a virtual tutor aligned with your course objectives, materials, and assessment practices.

Participants will learn how to:

• align learning objectives, teaching activities, and assessment;
• design effective prompts and configure a tutoring agent;
• integrate course materials and define appropriate tutor behavior;
• test and improve the tutor from both a content and pedagogical perspective;
• use the tutor to support independent study, active learning, and formative assessment;
• establish clear guidelines for responsible AI use, academic integrity, and student autonomy.

By the end of the sessions, participants will have developed:

• a pedagogical alignment framework;
• a tested and improved version of their virtual tutor; and
• a set of slides to introduce the tutor and its rules of use to students.
