If you already have some experience with tarot but would like to go deeper in your studies, join Jezmina Von Thiele, coauthor of Secrets of Romani Fortune Telling and cohost of Immaterial World podcast. You will learn how to understand the relationships among cards in tarot spreads, additional spreads not included in the Beginner Tarot workshop, how to create your own tarot spreads, methods for using tarot to deepen your spiritual practice, and more intuition strengthening exercises for intuitive interpretation. This class is for you if you’re already familiar with tarot but want to become more proficient, or if you’ve taken Beginner Tarot. Bring your tarot deck, a notebook, and pen to class, and get excited to dive in.Jezmina is of mixed-Romani descent, and fortune telling is a multi-generational family trade taught to them by their grandmother. The class will also cover how the persecution of Roma, an Indian diasporic ethnic group also known by the racial slur "Gypsies," have shaped the culture's practice of and relationship to fortune telling, and the popularization of tarot and cartomancy in the West.
You will receive an emailed PDF after the class with notes, so note taking is encouraged if it’s helpful to you, but it’s optional. Make sure to bring a tarot deck, notebook, and pen. If you don’t already have a deck, there may be a few extras for the class, or you can purchase one at the shop.
