This perfect bag measures 9 ½” x 10 ½” x 1 ½” when closed, and when the expander is opened the width expands to 3 ¼” at the base. The expansion allows more room for when it is needed for those trips to the quilt shop when you need just a little more room. It does have 2 outside pockets, one with a zipper closure and one with a snap closure. The inside also has a zippered pocket. An adjustable strap adds to the convenience of this bag. All items needed may be purchased at Quilt with Passion.

Fabric:
Exterior Fabric: ½ yard (main fabric seen all of the time)
Contrast Fabric: ½ yard (this will be seen when the expansion zipper is open and on the strap)
Lining: ½ yard (only used inside the bag)
Fusible Cotton woven interfacing: ¾ yard of 16” wide (or equivalent) (they suggest heavier weight)
Foam Stabilizer: (1) 10” x 24” piece; no fuse or one-sided fusible. they suggest Soft & Stable by Annie, QWP carries it on the bolt
Notions:
Zippers: (2) 9” or longer
16” or longer
22” or longer (with 2 zipper pulls)
*Zipper tape works well for these zippers. It is suggested that you use #5 zippers, which are wider ( 1 ¼” wide when closed) than fashion zippers.
*For the following hardware, you can use the Salley Tomato level 3 hardware kit in a 1” size
(the kit includes 2 1” D-rings, 2 1” swivel hooks, and 1 1” Slider buckle ) and also
purchase a ½” - ¾”snap

2 each ¾” wide D-rings (you can easily use 1” D-rings)
2 each 1” wide snaphooks
1 each 1” slide buckle
1 each invisible sew in magnet snap ( I used a magnetic snap with prongs that is visible inside the pocket, which I found easier than sewing in the snap)
51” 1” wide light weight nylon webbing
*****Notes*****
* The webbing will be covered with your contrast and exterior fabric, so webbing color may not be significant.
* If using a 1” D-ring, piece #10 should be cut 2” x 3”
* Do not complete steps 1 (a-e) or step 2a as we will do that in class.
* Please cut all pieces prior to class.
* Iron on interfacing onto pieces as instructed in the pattern except for steps 1(a-e) and 2a..

* Have fun picking out your fabrics and coordinating your contrasting fabrics!
Class Supplies needed:
*Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal (cleaned and oiled works better)
*Iron and ironing pad (there are irons in the classroom that you may use)
*Zipper foot
*Rotary cutter / cutting mat
*Scissors &/or clippers/snips
*Clips &/or pins (both if possible)
*Thread (choose a thread color to either blend in or stand out for the top stitching. If your lining fabric is a very light color, you may prefer to use a lighter color thread when sewing the lining pieces together.
Please bring your pattern, and all of your fabric pieces, zippers, and hardware to each class.

Class Cancellation/Make-Up Information: If you must cancel a class, please do so at least 7 days before the start of the class. Refunds for these cancellations will be issued in the form of a Quilt With Passion store credit. Store credit may also be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of class if the space is filled by another student. If a class is missed, make up classes may be held at a Sewing School or by arrangements with the instructor to sit in on another class. Make ups must be held within three months of the original class.
