Exeter Fall Art Tour, November 7+8, Saturday - Sunday 10-4Mark your calendars for two incredible days of art and culture in beautiful New England at the Exeter Fall Art Tour.
All 14 locations are within a 3 mile stretch from beginning to end!
With a spotlight on fine art and fine craft, you can see Exeter's vibrant local galleries, studio collectives, and individual artist studios.
Mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, prints, etchings, assemblage, watercolor, oil paintings, photography, hand-made art gifts, cards, framed art, coastal art, abstract art, ceramics, acrylic paintings, fiber, intricate textiles, glass, wood and more.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet artists, see galleries, possibly participate in an art process, PLUS purchase your favorite works.
PICK UP A SELF-GUIDED TOUR MAP AT ANY OF THE LOCATIONS.
🟡Some are a short drive to little neighborhoods just west of the railroad tracks.
🟡Some are street-level or up a set of steps.

1. Exeter Fine Crafts
61 Water Street
Founded in 1966. Over 200 juried artists exhibit their finely crafted pottery, textiles, jewelry, sculpture, serigraphs, glass and more. We offer a large variety of high quality art and craft classes year round in our large downstairs studios.
2. A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words

"We're a lively compendium of New England artists, antique maps, ephemera, and the seacoast's largest selection of fine art books". Custom art framing.
3. Windows on Water
85 Water Street (Next to Trends)
Watercolors, abstracts, landscapes, local scenes, paintings, alcohol inks, photography. The rear of the gallery overlooks the Squamscott....plus it shares space with The Wine Loft.
4. SAA at Historic Town Hall
10 Front Street (exhibit on second floor)
Seacoast Artist Association Members Art Show in the beautiful daylight-filled upstairs gallery. A benefit for their scholarship fund. Participate in an art process!
5. Seacoast Artists Association Gallery
130 Water Street
Established art association representing local and regional artists. Paintings, drawings, photography, prints and cards. The SAA displays the work of 31+ artist-members in exhibits changing quarterly. In addition, the monthly Theme Show plus two Body of Work exhibits show the work of other members and the community.
6. Foundation Art Space
111R Water Street (tucked along the riverside! Look for steps on the sidewalk located between 2 buildings)
A small mixed-use gallery & studio for members & guest artists. Headquarters for T.E.A.M. (non-profit organization. Hosting regular art shows, as well as occasional intimate musical performances, poetry readings, and workshops.
7. Art by Alyssa (individual artist shop)

Illustrated gifts to brighten your life! Made in-house using reproductions of Alyssa Watters' vibrant original oil painted images. Original paintings, prints, towels, calendars, trays & more.
8. Lauren Avery Hutton (individual artist studio)
2 Center Street (Enter door near Czars. Studio is on left.)
Lauren applies paint to canvas, creating original art that harmonizes with sophisticated interiors. Her distinctive use of sand, mica, and diamond dust, paired with vivid pigments brings depth and atmosphere.
9. Lamont Gallery
26 Tan Lane (on Phillips Exeter Academy campus. Entrance is set back from Front Street).
Exhibit: "Home Sweet, Somewhere". Floating chairs, small portholes, hidden corners....dwellings slightly askew or on the verge of change. 5 artists on view examining the facets of home.
10. Art Up Front Street Studios & Gallery
120 Front Street (artists collective)
Look for the bright yellow building with flower murals. 2000 square feet of contemporary art with 5 working artist studios. Anne Marie Kenny, Laura Harper Lake, Ashley Hichborn, Natalie Eve Marquis, Rose Bryant. Abstract paintings, landscapes, collage, industrial quilts.
11. Exeter Station Studios (Tucked back off Winter Street. Look for the large sign & chain link fence).
58 Winter Street (artists collective)
Individual working studios housed in what was once an Exeter shoe factory. Painters, sculptors, ceramic artists, a basket maker, vintage clothing, mixed media and more. Large and small works. Light refreshments.
(Entrance: drive through the chain link gate on Winter & go to rear glass door on left.)
12. Nicole Ellis Artist (individual artist studio not regularly open to the public)
91 Winter Street (near the playground)
Scenes of quiet New England life depicting barns, boats, trucks, coastal and rural views in hand made frames assembled with vintage & antique accents to further illustrate the art themes.

Studio of Bruce & Tracy Jones. Featuring paintings of landscapes, portraits, and street scenes. Special guest artist Rachael Jones of "Hot Cross Puns" and her offbeat whimsical crosstiches.
