About this Event
Moderated by Ruth Peltason, this panel brings together Nicholas Varney, Chris Davies, Tim McCleland, Amy Lyons and Judy Geib for a conversation on the evolution of their creative practices. Drawing on the themes of Evolution of a Jewel, the discussion will explore process, influence, material, experience and the changing ideas that shape a body of work over time, while asking what, if anything, makes contemporary jewelry distinctly American.
The American Jewelry Design Council brings together independent jewelry artists and designers whose practices reflect a broad range of materials, techniques, perspectives, and approaches to contemporary jewelry. Through exhibitions, dialogue, and collective initiatives, AJDC creates opportunities to examine jewelry as both an artistic discipline and an evolving field of American design.
