Winter has a way of slowing things down and draws our attention to the small moments that feel warm, quiet, and comforting. In this workshop, Ottavia will help you capture those cozy scenes through simple watercolor sketches that focus on mood, simplicity, and observation. You’ll work step‑by‑step from the initial pencil design to clean ink outlines and finally to soft, atmospheric watercolor layers that bring your winter moment to life. It’s a relaxed, beginner‑friendly class that encourages slowing down, noticing details, and enjoying the process.
Feel free to bring a reference photo (or two) of a winter scene that brings you comfort. Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop. A PDF copy of the supply list can be found in the workshop description.
NOTE: For all administrative questions—such as registration issues, cancellations, or workshop attendance—please contact Arlene’s directly. Instructors are not responsible for handling these matters. You can reach us at [email protected] or call during store hours at (518) 482-8881.
Our courses are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
