Description: So, you’ve been birding for a while and are interested in improving your birding skills? This presentation is for you! We’ll discuss how bird identification experts can tell what a bird is even when it’s a mile (or more!) away, when only seeing a bird for one-tenth of a second, or even before you know it’s there. Learn how to apply the expression “failure is fertilizer” to your birding skills and learn new ways to practice and improve. We’ll explore some benefits of eBird and Merlin and also look at ways these tools can deceive you. Come hear more about techniques to improve bird identification skills, learn more about birds, and also have fun!
