The Evacuation Chair Program at San Francisco State University (SFSU) is a critical component of our campus-wide commitment to safety, accessibility, and inclusive emergency preparedness.
These chairs are strategically located in campus buildings to assist individuals with mobility impairments during emergency evacuations. This document outlines the current assessment of the program, an operational plan including training and maintenance schedules, roles and responsibilities, and communication strategies for campus-wide awareness.
