Award-winning vocalist and songwriter Eugenie Jones, a "source of light we are fortunate to experience" (Reggie Workman, NEA Jazz Master), currently ranks among the most evocative artists on the contemporary jazz scene. Described by Jazziz as possessing "smoke-and-satin vocals," Jones has carved out a unique space as both a world-class performer and a prolific composer with 32 original publications to her credit.Her 2025 album EUGENIE peaked at #4 on the Jazz Week Top 50, remaining on the charts for 25 weeks. EUGENIE went on to receive the "Best Vocal Jazz Album" award from Paris-Move .
Jones is a seasoned touring artist known for packing houses. Recent successes include the sold-out "In the Key of She" National Tour (March 2026) with capacity crowds at Dazzle (Denver), The Velvet Note (Atlanta), and Mr. Tipple’s (San Francisco). Her performance history spans elite stages including Jazz Forum (NY), Blue Llama (MI), the Atlanta and San Jose Jazz Festival.
Often compared to Abbey Lincoln and Nina Simone for her songwriting depth, Jones delivers a "warm, husky vibrato" (Hot House Jazz) that seamlessly bridges the gap between the Golden Age of Jazz and modern, soul-infused originals.
