🎷 Etienne Déconfin Trio — vendredi 30 octobre, 19:30 & 21:30We are delighted to welcome this exceptional trio to the stage! Officially formed in 2022, this formidable trio (who already made a splash with their 2024 album Wanted) are here to present their brand-new album The Magician in You, freshly released in 2025 on the prestigious Fresh Sound label.
Born in 1990 in Bourges into a family of musicians, Étienne Déconfin was immersed from a very young age in a musical world of rare intensity. Deeply influenced by the lyricism and energy of giants such as Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Keith Jarrett, John Coltrane and McCoy Tyner, he has forged a strong and captivating musical identity. A key figure on the Parisian and international scenes since 2010, he has crossed swords with Marcus Miller, Ari Hoenig, Jeremy Pelt, Gaël Horellou, Géraud Portal, Justin Brown and Olivier Temime.
Today he expresses himself to the full, backed by the masterful rhythm section of Viktor Nyberg on double bass and Antoine Paganotti on drums. Obvious chemistry, a formidable swing and a raw, visceral sensitivity: one of the most exciting trios on the current jazz scene.
