EQUITANA is a premier World Equestrian Trade Fair that serves as a significant catalyst for change within the horse industry. The latest edition of EQUITANA brought together 450 exhibiting companies and attracted 12,000 visitors, solidifying its position as a key event in the equestrian calendar. The trade fair focuses on addressing the pressing challenges and changes facing the equestrian sector, facilitating knowledge transfer, and fostering exchange among industry professionals. With high energy prices, inflation, and rising costs impacting stable operators and their clientele, the fair emphasized the importance of recognizing the equestrian industry as a crucial economic factor in both Germany and Europe. Discussions held during the event aimed to promote awareness of equestrian sports and their economic significance.The event featured a specialist congress moderated by Christoph Hess, where industry insiders and enthusiasts gathered to explore future directions for the horse industry. Additionally, the Agria Health World introduced a digital component, allowing attendees to understand equine anatomy better and its implications for training practices. The first Vocational Training Day at EQUITANA aimed at inspiring youth to consider careers in equestrian-related fields, with 25 employers engaging with approximately 600 participants. The fair also showcased its inclusive nature through the "visionable" campaign, connecting newcomers with experienced equestrians across various disciplines. Highlights included the HOP TOP Show "Volaris" and the family show "Hoppi Toppi," along with engaging presentations from prominent figures in the equestrian world. Notable speakers included Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, Frederic Wandres, Isabell Werth, and Ingrid Klimke, who shared their expertise and experiences.
