WHY LEARN EQUINE RAINDROP TECHNIQUE?

There are multiple reasons why people own horses. Some simply have them as pets, some use them for pleasure riding, others for competition riding. There are horses used for therapies or teaching people to ride, and then there are the professional riders and equestrian bodies such as the racing industry.

No matter what the reason is for owning a horse, one common theme amongst horse owners is that their horse's health is a number one priority. In fact, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent each year in Australia on the maintenance and transport of horses by their owners!

In recent years there has been a growing trend towards the use of natural products for the healthcare of horses, including natural therapies and modalities. So what an exciting time to enter this field if you love horses and are seeking to help as many as possible in a professional capacity!

This course offers you the chance to learn a holistic modality and other natural health solutions that enhance a horse's well-being. Imagine using a gentle, effective technique that calms them plus keeps them in peak performance and health!.

Whether you’re a devoted horse owner or looking to start a fulfilling career in horse healthcare, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of horses and their owners. You will walk away from the course with a powerful tool that allows you to help horses in all fields (from the pet to the athlete), and the ability to charge a fee for your services.

It is a practitioner course that will also enable you to gain insurance cover for performing this technique on other people’s horses (once all the course requirements are completed).

So take the leap—your journey to becoming a certified practitioner starts here. Join fellow horse lovers and make a difference, one hoof at a time.

SO WHAT IS THE EQUINE RAINDROP TECHNIQUE?

It's like a massage – but so much more! This holistic modality is made up of:
• A Valor Balance – based on an Ancient Egyptian technique for bringing the body back into balance
• VitaFlex – an Ancient Tibetan reflexology that is so incredibly relaxing
• Native American Indian energy principles of feathering and fanning to release stuck energy
• Western Massage movements to release muscular tension
• A specific combination of powerful Young Living essential oils that are applied to the hind legs, spine and associated back and neck muscles

HOW CAN IT HELP HORSES?

It can provide benefits to horses in a variety of ways such as:
• General support following an illness or injury
• Pre or post-workout support for horses involved in competitive sports
• Support for ridden horses
• A beautiful pampering for horses
• A lovely opportunity to bond with a horse
• Emotional support for the horse, especially if they are anxious, flighty, or display other negative behaviour, or have had a prior history of abuse
• Support for the older horse including palliative care

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS INCLUDE:
• Easing of muscle pain
• Enhanced circulation
• Ability to stimulate movement of lymphatic fluid
• Improved joint mobility
• Boosting of immune function

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Susan became obsessed with horses at the age of 14, learning to ride at her local equestrian centre. Since then she has owned, trained and competed on many different breeds of horses utilising a variety of training methods. In 2008 she set up her own equestrian centre, teaching amateur and competitive riders.

Susan's first career was a police officer where she also had the opportunity to work in the Mounted Police for many years.

For 23 years Susan has been using natural options to keep her horses in top health. One of the first things she learnt in this journey was the Equine Raindrop Technique.

"It has always been my quest to provide my animals with the best care possible. In 2003 I was introduced to the Raindrop Technique for dogs and horses, and I quickly saw how beneficial it was. Performing the Raindrop Technique on my animals was an opportunity to truly bond with them and support both their physical and emotional health. This ignited a passion in me which led me to performing the Raindrop Technique on hundreds and hundreds of dogs and horses. The transformations I witnessed were nothing short of a miracle." - Susan Marshall – teacher Canine/Equine Raindrop Technique

WHAT OUR PAST STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY…

'I have known Susan Marshall from Animal Raindrop since November 2019 when I attended two Practitioner courses Susan was instructing – Canine and Equine Raindrop Techniques. In both courses, Susan was the trainer and assessor and combined various components of practical, theoretical, post training case studies and assessment to certify new Equine and Canine Raindrop Technique practitioners. In these courses, students are at times required to work directly with very large and unpredictable animals and occasionally in physically difficult positions. Susan demonstrated a high level of consideration for the safety and wellbeing of both the student practitioners and animals, and successfully mitigated the risks posed by the horses or dogs during practical sessions. Safety was well covered, suitable resources were provided, and included practice opportunities to increase student confidence and skills.

As a certified Raindrop Technique practitioner (8+ years), I was already well familiar with this technique, yet was impressed with how these courses presented additional information specific to these animals so that students can learn to independently customise every single treatment.Susan is highly skilled with people and animals and was confident, patient, and thorough in her delivery. This makes trainings not only professional and effective, but also enjoyable.

Teaching modules were well paced, appropriate, and included resources in various formats that assisted students to learn, practice and refine skills regardless of prior experience with animals. All handouts, equipment, resources and assessments were relevant and appropriate.Case studies offered the opportunity to deepen understanding and for constructive feedback to students to further develop skills and competence.Additional support for unexpected issues or questions was available whenever needed.I would thoroughly recommend Susan Marshall and Equine and Canine Raindrop Techniques to prospective students as the course content for both is professional, structured, comprehensive and targeted to ensure the needs of the individual animal as well as the treatment goals of the practitioner are met.'

WHY WE HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that sometimes life throws us curve balls, and the best laid plans can go out the window. Often that’s because of things outside of our control – an unexpected illness or injury (in yourself or a loved one) or a change of circumstances that makes it more difficult, or even impossible, to attend the course. Sometimes it’s simply because of a change of mind or priorities.

For us, cancellations are tricky. We keep our courses small and intimate, and run to a tight profit margin so we can offer you the best priced course possible. Cancellations (especially ones made 60 days or less from the course date) make it difficult for us to fill that spot, and can turn a profitable course into a non-profitable one. A few years ago, we faced a choice. Do we put our student fees up to cover these potential losses, or do we keep our fees as low as possible and implement a fee for cancelling (regardless of the reason for cancelling)? What is the fairest way to approach this?

We decided it was fairer to have the person cancelling be charged a cancellation fee, rather than levying all the students who are attending with a higher attendance fee. We hope you agree with our logic.

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY

If a course cannot go ahead for any reason (including insufficient student numbers or any covid-related reasons), we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know, and we will refund you in full for your course fees (my Eventbrite fees if you've booked through that platform). Alternatively, you may request that any funds paid be held in credit (to use when the new dates are announced).

We will not refund out of pocket expenses such as hotel and travel fees (including airfares), therefore we highly recommend you take out travel insurance, and choose fully refundable hotel and airfare options. If you need to cancel off the course, regardless of the reason for the cancellation (including cancelling due to covid symptoms), the following applies:
• For cancellations made 30 days or more before the course start date, a $400 cancellation fee is charged. The balance of moneys paid will be refunded to you.
• For cancellations made fewer than 30 days before the course start date, a $600 cancellation fee is charged. The balance of moneys paid will be refunded to you.
• If a course is fully booked and we are able to fill your place from someone on our wait list, or if you find someone who would like to attend in your place, in those two instances we will waive the cancellation fee, and instead charge a $160 admin fee (to cover admin costs for the transfer)
• Please be respectful of the venue and its furnishings. If your actions cause any damage, the costs to clean or repair the damage will be passed on to you.

We look forward to welcoming you at the EQUINE RAINDROP TECHNIQUE PRACTITIONER COURSE!
