Get ready for one EPIC Halloween night packed with live music, group sing-alongs, costumes, drinks, food, prizes and plenty of spooky fun!
Sip N’ Strum is all about making music together without the pressure. Our live band will lead the songs, lyrics will be provided and everyone is welcome to sing, strum, dance or simply enjoy the party. No instrument or previous musical experience is required—you don’t need to be a Mechanics of Music student to join the fun!

Your $20 ticket includes:
• Live music and group sing-alongs
• A free digital event songbook
• Costume contest and themed photo area
• Access to raffle prizes, a silent auction and a 50/50 draw
• Halloween treats, surprises and plenty of community fun
Bring your own instrument or reserve one for the evening for an additional $10. Printed songbooks can also be purchased for $5.
A cash bar, food, packaged snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Children under 12 attend free but must be included in the booking. All children must remain with a responsible adult throughout the event; drop-off attendance is not permitted.
Costumes are encouraged—but you’re just as welcome to come as you are!
Presented by the Rock the Block Society in partnership with Mechanics of Music, this event is a fundraiser supporting the Rock the Block Society’s work to create accessible, community-focused music programs and live music experiences in New Westminster, including Mechanics of Music Fest 2027.
