About this Event
EPIC Families,
Join us for a field trip on Friday, November 6th to Martin Park Nature Center & Trails in Oklahoma City! We will begin the day by exploring the inside of the nature center. Next, we will take a short hike through the nature trails. Lastly, students will be able to enjoy the nature-themed playground near the front of the park near the picnic area or enjoy hiking more of the trails around the nature center. A picnic pavilion is also available for those who bring a sack lunch! Policies: Students cannot be dropped off to attend a field trip without a parent or guardian unless the student is of driving age and drives themselves.
You will register using Eventbrite, which will hold your spot for the field trip as a reservation. This enables the school and the location to staff and plan appropriately.
Pathways Students: Pathways students may only participate when attending with their own enrolled Epic child. Please register as a guest, not as a student, since student reservations are for students age 18 and under only.
Service Animals: Families, please contact the event location directly to confirm whether service dogs are allowed.
Sign Language Services: To request a sign language interpreter for an Epic student at this event, please use this link: ASL Request Link. Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance of the event. The link can also be found on the Epic under the About tab → Requests & Forms.
Media Policy: This is a public event and photographs and/or video may be taken during the activity. If you prefer your student not to have a photograph or video taken, please let our Epic staff know during check-In.
Cancellations: How do I cancel my reservation? To cancel the reservation and allow other students to attend in those spots, you will go to the email sent from Eventbrite with the subject line: Your Tickets for the Martin Park Nature Center field trip. Then scroll to the bottom of the email and click the words "View and Manage your online order." This will open up spots for other families and is very important as the location needs accurate numbers before we arrive.
What is the inclement Weather Plan? If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Eventbrite to let you know if the field trip has been canceled.
