When is enough enough? And when are we enough? Two questions. One little word. A whole lot of stories.
This November, Story Haven KC is exploring "Enough," and we're inviting you into a conversation about the expectations we carry, the boundaries we struggle to set, and the moments when we finally begin to recognize our own worth.
Our featured storyteller is Victoria "The Real" Barbee, an author, entertainer, and motivational speaker who brings humor, music, personal stories, and plenty of heart to everything she does. Victoria's message is rooted in something that sounds simple but can take a lifetime to believe: You Are Enough.
But what about your story?
Have you ever reached a moment when you finally said, "I've had enough"? Who taught you that you had to earn your place in the world? When did you discover that being yourself might actually be sufficient?
At Story Haven, we believe the stories we carry deserve a place to land. Some are funny. Some are painful. Some are still unfolding. And sometimes, hearing someone else's story helps us make sense of our own.
You're invited to share a short story (3–5 minutes) inspired by the theme, or simply come and listen. There's no pressure to speak, no expectation that you have the answers, and certainly no requirement that you've got life figured out.
