About this Event
Set against the backdrop of the solo exhibit Celebrating Light: The Immersive LED Art of Janet Hansen, this special event focuses on the wearable forms of Janet’s work, in a fashion show format. Pulling from her personal archives of early work as well as more recent pieces, Janet will take you on a journey through several decades of lighted clothing and costumes made through her company Enlighted Designs. Many of these pieces have not been shown publicly in years.
At 7pm, models in custom Enlighted LED clothing will make their entrance in a runway presentation. After that, the party continues with a chance to see the pieces up close and talk with Janet. Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibit remains on view through January 3.
Schedule
- 5:00pm: Doors open and the party begins
- 7:00-7:15pm: Runway presentation
- 7:15-9:00pm: Mingle and see the pieces up close
- 9:00pm: Evening ends
Weather: Parts of the venue are outdoors. If the weather is poor, we will consider a few options - 1) moving the event indoors, or 2) rescheduling for another night. We will email all ticket holders by 2pm on December 12 if there is a change. You will be given the option to transfer your ticket to another date, or to request a refund.
Light effects: The clothing and artwork feature color-changing light, and some of it responds directly to live sound, so the lighting may change quickly or unpredictably at times. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or another light sensitivity, please consultyour doctor before attending.
