🥁 Enkelé in Belgium!POWERFUL WOMEN, CARIBBEAN RHYTHMS, RESISTANCE!
ENKELÉ is a group of women creators of traditional music who, from the sonic territories of the Colombian Caribbean and the banks fo the Magdalena River, make their voices and drums resonate with world music, transmitting the energy and power of women who continue to strive for equality and equity. Their productions tell a story through songs written by teachers, young people, and elders, who have witnessed or personally experienced inequalities, as well as the processes of resistance in their communities and beyond.
In this concert, you can enjoy the musical and sonic diversity of Cumbia, Bullerengue, Tambora and Chandé—traditional Colombian music that makes us vibrate to the rhythm of the drums.
