Situation/Project
A recent Engage with Age survey identified high levels of loneliness and isolation in older people in Belfast. This is often enhanced around Christmas time, for many leading to deepened mental and physical health issues long term, including shorter life expectancy and cognitive decline.
Funds raised will ensure Engage with Age can continue to reduce this and bring joy and connections to thousands of older people across Belfast and beyond each year, by meeting the costs of our befriending support and group activities / events.
