Curious about energy medicine and what it actually feels like?Energy Medicine 101 is a free, two hour experiential class designed to take some of the mystery out of energy medicine and give you an opportunity to experience it for yourself.
Together, we’ll explore how energy moves through and around the body, practice simple techniques for feeling energy with your own hands, notice how different energetic qualities can feel, and discuss how energetic practices may support our overall sense of well-being.
We’ll also explore the traditions that have deeply influenced my own work: Reiki and shamanic practice. We’ll look at the Japanese origins and foundational principles of Reiki, what happens during Reiki practice, and some of the ways it is understood and used today.
We’ll then reach much further back to explore shamanic traditions—ancient and diverse practices found among cultures around the world—and the ways people have historically worked with ceremony, rhythm, nature, altered states of awareness, and relationship with the unseen as part of healing and spiritual life.
Along the way, we’ll bring these ancient and traditional perspectives into conversation with our modern understanding of the body, mind, nervous system, and human experience.
This class is open to everyone—from those who are completely new and simply curious to wellness practitioners interested in expanding their understanding of energetic healing.
Your facilitator, Christine Marie, is the founder and practitioner of Panthera Energy Medicine. She brings more than eight years of experience working with individuals and groups, along with extensive training and teaching experience in energy medicine, Reiki, breathwork, sound healing, light therapy, and shamanic practices.
