About this Event
How Does Energy Relate to Growing Food?
Indoor vertical farming is changing how urban cities grow food. This innovative agricultural technique uses roughly 90% to 98% less water than traditional farming methods by recycling and filtering water in resource-efficient irrigation systems. This process helps conserve resources while supporting pesticide-free food production.
Join us at the UDC Van Ness Campus for a free educational event to explore indoor farming and share research findings on how farmers can reduce energy use in vertical farming.
