Every person carries a story that reaches beyond the labels others place on them. This year’s exhibition explores the question: What defines who you are beyond labels?

1:00-2:30pm Finding Identity and Community with Zines
with Anna Zook (UWEC Library) and Jill Olm (UWEC Art Department)
How do our identities shape the communities we build and inhabit? Through the accessible art form of zines (pronounced “zeens"), participants will reflect on personal experiences, connect with others, and create a self-published booklet that celebrates diverse perspectives. No experience making zines required and all supplies will be included.
Time TBD: PakwewaangBack - Embodying the Survivance of a Stolen Village
PakwewaangBack is an invitation to embody an Indigenous future by holding the past and present in their fullnesses. It is an offering shaped to deepen, expand, and add dimension to the understanding of both the history of the 1923 flooding of the village of Pakwewaang and the continued harm it inflicts on our communities today. Come learn by moving energy through you, and carry Pakwewaang with you into the future.
