About this Event
(IN PERSON and ONLINE) Join us with Dr. Doug Hobson of the Movement Disorder Clinic for an engaging look at the latest developments in Parkinson’s disease research and treatment. This presentation will explore how researchers are working to better understand the causes and progression of Parkinson’s, identify early biological markers, and develop treatments that could help slow or modify disease progression.
Dr. Hobson will discuss promising areas of research, including vaccines, genetic and cellular therapies, repurposed medications, stem cell treatments, adaptive deep brain stimulation, and new Medic*tion-delivery technologies. The presentation will also highlight the importance of recognizing unproven “miracle” treatments and understanding how clinical trials evaluate new therapies.
Finally, learn why exercise remains the only intervention with established evidence for slowing Parkinson’s progression.
