A practical workshop on managing a case from Acas early conciliation to a preliminary hearing led by Mark Fellows at Sherrards Solicitors.
About this Event

Are you confident navigating a case once tribunal proceedings become a real possibility?

This interactive session will take people professionals through the practical realities of managing an employment tribunal claim from the moment a dispute looks likely to escalate, right through to the preliminary hearing.

Using a detailed, realistic case study, you'll work through a scenario involving an employee with a neurodiverse condition, whose grievance and subsequent ET1 claim have been drafted with the assistance of AI, two of the most topical and increasingly common issues facing HR teams today. Case study materials will be circulated in advance so you can come prepared to get the most out of the session.

What we’ll cover:

  • Early conciliation; when it starts and how to use the process effectively.
  • Receiving the ET1 and preparing a robust ET3 response.
  • Settlement strategy and early resolution options, including deposit orders, strike-out applications and costs warnings.
  • Preparing for the Preliminary Hearing including drafting the agenda and identifying the list of issues.
  • Practical, real-world discussion of a case involving neurodiversity and AI-generated grievances.
