Endings, loss, grief, and major life transitions can stir up a lot inside us. Anxiety, sadness, anger, fear, uncertainty, and even excitement about what comes next can all exist at the same time. Sometimes there are circumstances we cannot change, people we cannot change, or endings we cannot undo. EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique (which involves tapping on major meridians of our bodies while focusing on an issue that's troubling us), gives us a simple way to work with what is happening within us, helping to ease the emotional and physical stress we carry so we can meet life's changes with greater calm, clarity, and ease.Studies show that EFT is 99 percent effective in healing veterans with PTSD. Many clients say that it's safer, simpler, and more effective than EMDR therapy. You do not need to know anything about EFT to join this circle. Allison Brunner is an EFT for Trauma Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience, and she will guide you through everything, gently and at your own pace. We'll combine tapping with reflection and processing, working with whatever is present for you around the transition you're experiencing. As you learn the technique, you'll begin to discover how you can use tapping for yourself. We'll also experience what is known in EFT as borrowed benefits, the idea that when we tap alongside another person's process, we may experience shifts of our own. Your participation does not require you to share anything you aren't ready to share.
The intention is not to make difficult circumstances disappear or to force yourself to feel differently before you're ready. It is to create more room inside yourself to respond to what's transpiring in your life. As we work with our inner world, our relationship to the outer world can begin to change too. We may even then see our outer world shift in ways we've wished. We may become better able to adapt to what cannot be changed, release what is ready to end, and approach what is beginning with greater openness and optimism. Along with the circle, you'll receive free digital access to Allison's 90-minute Basics of EFT course, including the science behind EFT, detailed instruction, and everything you need to continue tapping on your own.
