Now that the Sheffield EMOM has caught up a little, we're pleased to announce another extended EMOM Halloween special!Starting the night, we have our usual open mic format from 6:30 'till 10:30 - if you wish to play, please email [email protected]
Then after that we will have 3 headliners:
Hellocatfood - a Manchester based live coding pro, often collaborating with artists such as Slickback and the algorave band Bad circulation. Expect mind bending rythms and some slick coding techniques all beamed onto a screen for your curiosity.
Currentmoodgirl - a feisty Glaswegian who'll bring her uniquely weird and wonderful show to Sheffield. Creating her work with an array of modular gear, and affected vocals, expect songs about frogs and other unexpected behaviour.
Headcleaner - recently crept back out of the woodwork to start performing live again. He has a wondrous box of tricks in the form of modular and will be getting the floor on the move. With releases on Rephlex Records, it's safe to say it'll be a set of high calibre.
EMOMs (Electronic Music Open Mic) are a spaces and a nation wide movement for artists to road-test their new music and hone their performance skills to an appreciative audience who get to see a huge range of acts for free!
If you're interested in playing, please email [email protected] with your name, artist name and where you're from and I'll get back to you ASAP. I ask that you please avoid messaging for a slot on socials as it gets very difficult to manage applications.
See you at the EMOM!
