Emerging Directors/Screenwriters x Agent Assistants Roundtable

Join us for an exciting in-person roundtable event at the Theatre Deli bar, designed specifically for unrepresented writers and directors looking to break into the industry.

This is a rare opportunity to gain honest, practical insight into how representation really works — straight from junior agents and agent assistants who work closely with talent every day. Whether you’re at the very start of your journey or actively developing projects, this event offers invaluable guidance on building a professional career in film and television.

Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and come ready with questions. Attendees are encouraged to ask anything — from industry-wide advice to feedback on their own career paths and creative ambitions.

Participants will be divided into four small groups of approximately 10 people. Each group will spend 20 minutes with a representative from one of London’s leading literary agencies, before rotating tables. By the end of the evening, every attendee will have had the chance to speak with each agency in an intimate, conversational setting.

This event is hosted by The Developing Room, a multi-award-winning British creative network dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where emerging creatives can learn, grow, and develop as artists.
