The EMDR+Music Integrated Model: Using Music as an Interweave in EMDR
Presenter: Cassandra Manning, MA, MSc, EMDR Consultant & Integrative Psychotherapist
Cassandra Manning will present her EMDR+Music Integrated Model, a novel approach that weaves pre-recorded music into all eight phases of the EMDR Standard Protocol. Aims & Objectives
Participants will:
- Explore the phase-by-phase integration of music into all phases of EMDR
- Learn how to use music as an interweave in Phases 4–6
- Gain neuroscientific insights into how music can support the AIP
- View interviews and excerpts from authentic client EMDR+Music sessions
- Receive an introduction to music selection skills, including therapist intuition, collaboration and cultural awareness
- Consider the risks and challenges of working with music in EMDR
