Come turn a photo of a pet or loved ones into something beautiful that you can hang on your wall or give as a gift. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create a simplified embroidery portrait from a favorite photograph. Instructor Olivia Fontana will walk you through each step of the process: from tracing your 5x7 photo onto wax paper, transferring your design onto fabric, and then bringing it all to life with needle and thread. You’ll learn a few basic stitches to outline your portrait, fill it in, and tips on adding finer details. All levels are welcome to join. Some sewing experience and a love of making things by hand is recommended. Suitable for ages 13+, or 10+ if they have previous experience with embroidery or sewing. All supplies are included in the cost of the class.
