Glebe local, singer-songwriter Emad Younan, performs his unique brand of finger-picking, melancholic, melodic folk music. Drawing inspiration from his late brother, the brilliant Jesse Younan, Emad is a seasoned story-teller who moved the nation to tears with his performance on The Voice 2016.After more than 11 years as a resident performer at Sappho, Emad returns to the beautiful Sappho courtyard with violinist virtuoso, Jess Randall, who performs regularly with legendary outfit, The Crooked Fiddle Band. A true master of the violin, Jess adds a very special dimension to Emad’s music and stories.
Described by Ronan Keating as ‘uber-talented’ and ‘phenomenal’, Emad is a modest and humble performer who above all brings a rawness and honesty to every performance that will touch you and leave you wanting more. Not to be missed.
Entry is FREE and the bar will be open from 5pm, serving food and drinks.
