'David Bowie lnspired Art: Chameleon Bodies & Alter Egos, Beginner Friendly Life Drawing'
Curious about life drawing but not sure where to start? This Bowie-inspired session is the perfect way to try something creative in a fun, relaxed setting.
Inspired by David Bowie’s iconic characters and ever-changing style, we’ll explore bold poses, expression, and movement through a series of guided drawing exercises. Think Ziggy Stardust glamour, theatrical energy, and plenty of room to experiment.
No experience needed at all, complete beginners are warmly welcome. This is about enjoying the process, building confidence, and trying something new.

Hi, I’m Canvas (Caroline) your host and a painter working in oil and gouache portraiture, with a love of plein air painting and storytelling through images. Alongside my art practice, I also work as a science writer, which means I’m equally fascinated by observation, detail, and the many ways we interpret the world around us. I’ve adored life drawing for the past 15 years and continue to find endless inspiration in the human form, movement, and expression.
My mum first introduced me to David Bowie’s music, so it feels especially joyful to bring a little 70s London flair, creativity, and glamour to this session with you.

We create a welcoming and warm environment for all backgrounds, demographics, and skill levels at this creative social life drawing event to meet, drink, draw, and create! We do not instruct; instead, we invite participants to share. We believe that art connects people, and sharings improve creativity!
We host weekly themed untutored gatherings at a variety of one-of-a-kind places in London. Rundown:
Doors open: 6.45pm
Life drawing: 7 to 8:30pm (mix of short and long poses, with short break)
Door close: 9pm
House Rules:
- NO REFUNDS - Due to the amount of time and effort invested in event planning, we are unable to give refunds for this event.
- Book ASAP - Please book online for you and your friends in advance so we know how to arrange the seats.
- Some basic drawing materials and paper will be available for free but if you wish to bring your own sketchbooks and materials please do! Drawing boards, small tables and cosy sofa seats are all provided on a first come-first served basis.
- Discrimination and bullying in any form will not be tolerated at our events.
- The full price ticket includes one drink (a small glass of wine or a bottle of beer); more beverages and snacks can be purchased at the in-house bar, which we highly recommend you try!
- This is a 18+ event. We operate a challenge 25 policy at the bar, so please bring ID with you.
- Photography and Filming take place during workshops and gallery opening times. Please let us know if you do not want to be on film. All material captured is used for either our social media or future promotion.
