About this Event
This event is for those who share a curious fascination with snow and avalanches. Join professional guides, ski patrollers and winter backcountry enthusiasts from your mountain community for an evening of learning and connection to kickoff the winter. Super El Niño or not, it’s a good excuse to get together and talk snow before the season starts!
Wondering what to expect?
- Expert Presentations: Leading voices in snow science, avalanche forecasting, and mountain safety share the latest research findings and practical insights you can add to your daily process.
- Community Connection: EVSAW is as much about people as it is about snow. Attendees connect with local professionals, backcountry enthusiasts, and industry partners who share a passion for the mountains.
- Practical Takeaways: Whether you work in the avalanche industry or recreate in the backcountry, you’ll leave with new tools, perspectives, and knowledge to support better decision-making.
Afterwards, stay for après, catch up with old friends, and meet some new ones! Connect with local vendors and community organisations in our workshop marketplace!
