We're heading up to Elk Ravine Farm, a family-owned, 90-acre working farm tucked into the rolling hills of Amenia, NY, for a private, hands-on tour you won't forget.
Home to more than 100 animals, Elk Ravine is best known for its herd of fluffy Scottish Highland cattle, but you'll also meet water buffalo, Belgian draft horses, yaks, miniature donkeys, Kune Kune pigs, Nigerian pygmy goats, and even white peacocks. Our visit kicks off with a horse-drawn carriage ride through the property before we get up close for hands-on animal encounters, plenty of photos, and yes, the famous "cow cuddles." It's a peaceful, joyful, one-of-a-kind escape, and a chance to see how this family's conservation-first approach is healing the land.
